Oossu! Welcome to my anime blog! The post by ExecutiveOtaku over at THAT has inspired me to finally start a blog to put down my thoughts as I feed my insatiable anime addiction. So without further ado, Katanagatari episode 1…
Just seeing the opening, I’m already loving the art style. The opening song is pretty catchy too, but not too memorable.
I like how Nanami is the only one who senses Komori’s projectile shuriken barf. I hope we see more of her later in the series, but I don’t know the hell she’s going to get off that deserted island…
This show has a lot of potential and there actually is a good amount of interesting character development and background in this first episode if you can handle watching it a second time.
The directives that Kogame gave Shichika at the end were touching. Maybe Kogame’s looking for a hubby to boss around when she becomes the Shogun. I mean, she WAS checking out Shichika’s hot bod earlier.
I’m pretty sure Kogame is making up her plan as she goes along planning her revenge. That useless rambling throughout the episode was actually her stalling while she thought of something intelligent to say. Right, Miss Strategian?
Looks like she’s going to be our comic relief this series. Gyafun!
This series is going to be pretty epic! I’m looking forward to writing about the next episode.

Welcome to blogging
I love newcomers xD
I didn’t exactly watched this ep since I heard it’s very boring and all talk but I guess I’ll give it a try ^_^
If there’s any series that needs a strong visual effort, it’s this one. I say it because most of the episodes are devoted to conversation. Some of it will be exposition, some of it will be just talking.
I don’t mind just talking, I do mind exposition dumps in conversation. Most of the time we don’t talk as if to provide exposition to a third party listener. We just talk about whatever to each other. If Katanagatari can make this interesting, then they’ve done a good job.
Episode two makes for interesting choices in the presentation of rather long non-exposition dialogue.
oh, look… someone new!
I don’t have anything remotely intelligent to say right now… so just go0d luck on blogging.
Good to see another new blogger out here! Still making up my mind about Katanagatari, so like the above I don’t have too much to say other than it’s an interesting series. I don’t really mind all the conversation emphasis thus far, though some have criticized it for that.
Once again, welcome to the community! I’m glad that the post was motivating, best of luck with your new blog
